Company History
The first restoration I took part in was a Seafly sailing dinghy; I was five! Since then I have always been involved with the repair of boats to some degree, before finally deciding to train professionally.
At the end of a year-long course at the International Boatbuilding Training College in Lowestoft, I left with distinctions in both their own diploma, and the City and Guilds certification.
Following this I took three placements; on the Thames at Reading, Down’s Road Boatyard in Maldon on the Essex Coast, and Hillyards in Littlehampton.
With approximately a year at each site, it gave me a wonderful opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of different craft, and learn from some of the most experienced boatbuilders still working today.
